Reverend Bette Johnson Sohm

Rev. Bette Johnson Sohm has been dedicated to pastoral leadership, escalating from lay speaker courses at Faith UMC to an ordained ministry by 2005. Her journey saw her serving various New York-based congregations, earning a Master of Divinity, and eventually leading at St. Paul’s UMC and Bethel UMC. Post 2021, she filled Rev. Joseph Upole's position at Woodrow, then moved to serve at Asbury UMC and Mt. Kisco Church in 2022. Alongside her pastoral roles, she's actively engaged in the Conference, mentoring budding pastors, and leading various church-related committees. Her academia extends to a Bachelor of Arts in theatre and ongoing Doctor of Ministry studies at Drew Theological School. Outside her ecclesiastical endeavors, she cherishes time with Glenn, her spouse of 37 years, indulging in reading, movies, puzzles, and exploring historical narratives.
